The Bainbridge 2025-2050 Comprehensive Plan is now available for public review. This document serves as a long-term guide for growth and development in Bainbridge, addressing key topics such as housing, economic development, land use, transportation, and community services.


Please note: This is a draft version of the plan and remains subject to updates and revisions. Community members, stakeholders, and agency partners are encouraged to review the draft and provide feedback before the plan is finalized.

Next Steps in the Review Process


  • April 8, 2025 – The Bainbridge Planning Commission will review the draft plan at City Hall.
  • April 15, 2025 – A public hearing will be held during the April City Council meeting to gather final comments and input. This meeting will be at City Hall and is open to the public;  all are encouraged to attend and share their thoughts.
  • Following the public hearing, the plan will be submitted for review by the Southwest Georgia Regional Commission (SWGRC) and the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) to ensure alignment with regional and state planning objectives.
  • Once the review process is complete and any necessary changes have been made, the plan will move forward for formal adoption by Bainbridge City Council.
